      Although magic existed before the written word, it derives from well known sources. The magic of Fire, Ice, and Storm comes from ancient Titans that ruled the world in the Days Before. The magic of Myth, Life, and Death come from the power of the mind, body, and spirit of the Wizard casting them. The magic of Balance combines all of them.

The Astral Schools of Sun, Moon and Star are reserved for the strongest Wizards, and are designed to work as supplementary spells to your existing schools.

      Each school of magic in the Wizard101 multiplayer world is very different and has its own philosophy, rhythm, and nature that combine with the elements of the universe. Wizards are free to choose a school of magic that reflects their personality and goals in the game.  

      Each school of magic has different pros and cons, but all magic schools in Wizard101 are equal. A Legendary Balance Wizard can be just as powerful as a Legendary Storm Wizard! On top of different school spells, many aspects of the game can be customized to feature your Wizard's school - like housing and gear. Wizards can also earn free training points by advancing in levels and completing side quests, which allow you to train for different spells outside your core magic school. By picking the ideal magic school for your Wizard and training in other schools, Wizards can play to defeat Malistaire and beyond!
